CYBERSECURITY ISSUES DISCUSSED AT KazNARU WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF A HUAWEI REPRESENTATIVE

September 2026 has been designated as National Cybersecurity Month. As part of this nationwide initiative, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University held an awareness session designed to strengthen students’ digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness.

The event was jointly organized by the Faculty of Water Resources and IT Technologies and the University’s Digital Officer. Temirlan Zhaksylykov, Huawei’s representative in Almaty, attended the session as a guest speaker.

The discussion addressed key aspects of cybersecurity, including personal data protection, cyberattack prevention, the use of strong passwords, identifying suspicious links, and responsible online practices. The speaker emphasized that cybersecurity is not solely the responsibility of IT professionals; it is essential for everyone who engages with digital technologies.

Students were also introduced to Huawei’s international Olympiads, competitions, and educational programs. The session provided an opportunity to exchange views on career pathways and professional growth in the IT sector.
