INFORMATION ON ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES HELD IN 2025
At the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, advanced training courses were held for water specialists of the RSE on REM "Kazvodkhoz" (first cohort from October 6 to October 11, 2025; second cohort from October 13 to October 17) with the support of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the program: "Water resources management, land reclamation, and reliability of hydraulic structures in Kazakhstan."
The curriculum covered the fundamentals of water policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, organizational, regulatory, economic, and tariff issues related to Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), water management economics and management, water-saving challenges and solutions, operation of hydraulic structures, as well as modern digital technologies and new water-accounting devices in irrigation systems.
- The first cohort included representatives from:
- West Kazakhstan branch – 9 people,
- Akmola branch – 13 people. Total: 22 people from the Republican State Enterprise on the right of economic management "Kazvodkhoz."
- The second cohort (October 13 to 17) trained water management specialists from:
- North Kazakhstan branch – 5 people,
- East Kazakhstan branch – 5 people,
- West Kazakhstan branch – 9 people,
- "D. Kunaev Greater Almaty Canal" branch – 10 people,
- Abai Region – 5 people. Total: 39 people.
- Grand total of participants: 61 specialists from the branches of the Republican State Enterprise on the right of economic management "Kazvodkhoz."
For practical familiarization and consolidation of theoretical knowledge, course participants visited the water management facilities of the RSE "Greater Almaty Canal named after D. Kunaev" – the Shelek Head Hydro-node. Certificates were issued upon completion of the courses.
