The “Water Resources and IT Technologies” Section Held within the International Conference “Smart Agroscience: Research and Innovations of Young Scientists”

Within the framework of the international conference “Smart Agroscience: Research and Innovations of Young Scientists,” a session of the “Water Resources and IT Technologies” section of the Faculty of Water Resources and IT Technologies was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University.

During the session, young researchers and specialists from leading universities and research institutes presented their studies on efficient water resource management, hydrodynamic modeling, optimization of irrigated lands, digital technologies, SCADA systems, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and data processing.

Participants included representatives of the Institute of Geography and Water Security, the Kazakh Research Institute of Water Management, the “Kazgiprovodkhoz” design institute, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, and Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.

During the session, commission members asked questions and actively engaged in scientific discussions. The participants’ research, the practical significance of their results, and the application of innovative approaches were highly appreciated.

Based on the results of the conference, the best presentations were awarded:

• Izbasar O. Orynbasar – “Comparative Analysis of Transformer and Ensemble Learning Architectures for Streamflow Forecasting in the Syr Darya Basin”
• Gulzhanat S. Salekeeva – “Assessment of Irrigated Land Water Consumption Based on Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis”
• Bakdaulet B. Abdrasilov – “Development of the Architecture of a Modular Educational Web Platform with an Extensible Content Management System”

This section became an important platform for discussing current scientific issues in water resource management and digital technologies. The conference contributed to the development of young researchers’ scientific potential, exchange of experience, and promotion of innovative ideas.
