KAZNARU CELEBRATED NAURYZ HOLIDAY
Kazakh National Agrarian Research University widely celebrated Nauryz — the Great Day of the Nation. Nauryz is an ancient and distinctive holiday symbolizing the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year, deeply rooted in the centuries-old history and traditions of the Kazakh people.

As part of the celebration, traditional yurts were installed on the university grounds, creating an authentic national atmosphere. Participants dressed in traditional attire exchanged warm wishes, offered national dishes, and revived elements of cultural customs and traditions.
An important part of the event was dedicated to national sports. Organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, traditional Kazakh games were held to promote cultural heritage. In particular, competitions in Kazakh wrestling (қазақ күресі), arm wrestling (қол күресі), and serke lifting demonstrated participants’ strength and endurance, while tug-of-war highlighted teamwork and unity.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the competitions, showing a high level of engagement and enthusiasm. Such events contribute to promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth and strengthening national values.
These large-scale cultural initiatives ensure the continuity of generations, support the preservation of rich national heritage, and reinforce the national spirit.
