FASHION DEFILE DEDICATED TO NATIONAL CLOTHING DAY HELD AT KazNARU

On March 18, 2026, a festive fashion defile dedicated to National Clothing Day was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University as part of the Nauryznama decade celebrations.
The ceremonial event was attended by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNARU, President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician Akhylbek Kurishbayev, as well as vice-rectors, deans, faculty members, staff, and students.
During the show, participants’ outfits were evaluated across special nominations. The winners were awarded elegant bouquets of roses, along with branded university merchandise, including tote bags and mugs, presented in a formal ceremony.
The defile showcased traditional elements of Kazakh national attire, including kamzols, chapan robes, skullcaps, and other garments. Each look vividly reflected the richness of the nation’s cultural heritage and aesthetic values, capturing the audience’s attention.
Modern interpretations of national motifs highlighted the continuity of traditions and encouraged a deeper appreciation of spiritual and cultural values. Such events play an important role in fostering respect for national identity among young people.
The festive defile became a vivid demonstration of unity within the university community and its commitment to spiritual renewal, enriching the celebration of Nauryz.
