MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CENTER FOR THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF AIDS IN ALMATY

International AIDS Day is celebrated annually on December 1. This day is a reminder of the need to stop the spread of the global HIV epidemic/AIDS. In this regard, on November 28, 2023, at the invitation of the teachers of the Department of "Food Technology and Safety" at the Faculty of "Zooengineering and Food Technology", a meeting was held with the epidemiologist of the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Almaty - Aralbayeva Kamshat Samatovna.

During a sanitary and educational lecture, an epidemiologist discussed the occurrence, spread, and symptoms of AIDS. Information on which areas had the most people with HIV was also provided. The students were provided with information about the methods of HIV infection. 

Special attention was paid to the issues of HIV diagnosis, and information was provided on which medical institutions could currently be tested and their addresses. During the meeting, the students were given an express test at their will.
