Kazakh National Agrarian Research University hosted the 6th International Conference I-CRAFT 2026, bringing together nearly 100 researchers and experts from 12 countries.
The conference was opened by Pirimkul Ibragimov, First Vice-Rector of KazNARU, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences and Professor.
Researchers and professionals in agriculture and food technologies gathered to address current challenges facing the agricultural sector, present new research and explore opportunities for translating innovative approaches into practice. Key topics included food security, sustainable agricultural development, climate change, advanced agricultural technologies and logistics.
International researchers also contributed to the programme. Aykut Gül, Professor of Agricultural Economics at Çukurova University in Türkiye, discussed the impact of geopolitical factors, climate change and trade restrictions on agriculture, highlighting the importance of logistics in ensuring food security.
Rafis Abazov, Director of the Institute for Green and Sustainable Development at KazNARU, emphasised the importance of moving beyond scientific discussion and finding practical ways to apply research and new knowledge.
I-CRAFT 2026 provided an opportunity for researchers from different countries to exchange expertise and explore practical solutions to the challenges facing modern agriculture.
