KazNARU STUDENTS DISCUSSED CYBERSECURITY ISSUES

On September 8, 2026, an open dialogue aimed at improving students’ digital literacy was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University as part of the “Law and Order: A Safe Society” initiative.
The meeting was attended by Republican Student Ombudsman Aibolat Sembiev, Zhanar Kegembayeva, Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Doctor of Law, and Dauren Kobeyev, representative of the Almaty Police Department and Police Lieutenant Colonel.
During the meeting, participants discussed personal data protection, cyber fraud prevention, responsibility on social media, and safe behavior in the digital environment.
The speakers paid particular attention to the importance of critical thinking in today’s information space. In addition, amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, they discussed how to distinguish fake photos, videos, and other manipulative content from reliable information.
During the open dialogue, students had the opportunity to ask experts questions and receive practical recommendations on cybersecurity and personal data protection.
The event was aimed at strengthening young people’s digital culture, promoting a responsible attitude toward information security, and developing safe and informed behavior in the online environment.
