Open lesson dedicated to the great Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev
As part of English and Russian language lessons, first-year students of the faculty of the Higher School of Business and Law (GMU 24-08k, UA 24-01k, FN 24-03k, MN 24-09k, UP 24-12k, UP 24-14k) and teachers of the Department of General Education Disciplines Shoibekova A. Zh., Zhumadilova (indicate initials) held an open lesson dedicated to the great Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev. The main goal was to introduce the participants to his work and contribution to Kazakh literature using English and Kazakh languages.
The program included:
• Presentation in English about the life and work of Makatayev.
• Reading the poet's poems in Kazakh and their translation into English.
• Discussion of the importance of his work for world literature.
Results and conclusions:
The event allowed students not only to deepen their knowledge of Mukazali Makatayev, but also to improve their language skills by working with translations and text analysis. The use of two languages contributed to the development of intercultural communication.
