CITY PROBLEMS: CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Within the topic “City Problems,” students discussed pressing social issues during classes, including the problem of juvenile delinquency and the spread of gambling among teenagers. Special attention was given to the reasons behind youth involvement in such dangerous addictions and their consequences for society.
To deepen their understanding of this topic, on April 8, 2025, students of group LDO-24-17, accompanied by Gulnar Ruslanovna Duz-Ogly, lecturer at the Department of General Education Disciplines, attended the screening of the Kazakhstani feature film Gambler, which vividly reflects the realities and challenges associated with gambling addiction.
Watching the film was an important practical experience that helped the students not only realize the scale of the problem but also reflect on possible ways to address it. Discussions following the screening fostered critical thinking and helped develop a responsible attitude towards the social environment.
Such an event contributes to forming an active civic position among students and understanding the importance of preventing negative phenomena in urban society.
