“WOLVES AND SHEEP” — A CLASSIC WITH RELEVANT THEMES

On April 7, 2025, students of group LDO-24-17, led by Gulnar Ruslanovna Duz-Ogly, a lecturer at the Department of General Education Disciplines, attended the theatrical performance of Wolves and Sheep at the M. Yu. Lermontov National Russian Theater. The production of Alexander Ostrovsky’s comedy allowed the students to gain a deeper understanding of classical Russian drama and its portrayal of social conflicts and moral issues.

This event provided an excellent opportunity for the students not only to broaden their knowledge of theatrical art but also to analyze timeless themes of human relationships, ambition, and hypocrisy presented through satire.

Attending the play as part of the academic course contributed to the development of aesthetic perception, critical thinking, and appreciation of rich cultural heritage, which is an essential part of humanities education.
