“THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR” ON STAGE

On January 31, 2025, Gulnar Ruslanovna Duz-Ogly, a lecturer at the Department of General Education Disciplines, together with students of group LDO-24-13, continued their exploration of artistic forms of expression within the topic "Cultural Leisure" by attending the theatrical performance of the famous play by N. V. Gogol, The Government Inspector, at the Republican Academic German Drama Theater.

Watching the play was a significant step in mastering literary material and cultural heritage. The students not only reinforced their understanding of the content and themes of the work but also experienced the atmosphere of Gogol’s satire through the actors’ live performances, stage portrayals of characters, and expressive directorial decisions.

The event gained special importance as it brought students closer to classical Russian literature as a crucial part of their humanities education. Through the theater, students deepened their appreciation of the artistic power of language, focused on the relevant themes raised by Gogol, and encountered universal moral and social issues that make the work part of the world’s cultural treasury.

The theatrical experience contributed to developing aesthetic taste, critical thinking, and emotional perception of classical literature. After the performance, a discussion took place where students shared their impressions and analyzed the production’s distinctive features.

Attending the theater became a logical continuation of the educational process, enhancing interest in literature, theater, and universal cultural values, while demonstrating the importance of cultural leisure in the life of a modern young person.
